We use the same care and quality control standards whether you order engineered doors stiles and rails for a single door or for thousands of stock doors. Work the joints apart gently until you have separated all the stiles and rails. I would expect a door from this era has nice big mortise and tenon joints. When homeowners are seeking a classic, painted look, popular interior door choices include molded doors and primed stile and rail doors. Over the last 70 years the expansion and contraction you are concerned about is most likely what has separated the joints. Engineered for maximum stability and durability won’t shrink, expand or warp when exposed to environment. Made with solid, super-refined MDF that provides a smoother painting surface than pine, poplar or lower-grade MDF alternatives. Those old solid wood doors are great and ridiculously expensive to replace with the same quality so, in my humble opinion, it is worth the effort. Built with genuine stile and rail construction never routed or stamped. Is a cabinet door stronger if the stiles are the full height of the cabinet door, or if the rails are the full. The method that has been most tried and true for me is, unfortunately, a bit more involved. I have a question for the cabinet builders. The key to this method is cleaning out the joint with a putty knife or something similar and clamping it tightly. The stiles extend the full height of the door. On occasion, I have been able to force glue into a joint with a glue syringe and clamp the joints together. A16-Series and AN16-Series doors are made of 16 gage (1.3mm), 1-3/4 (45mm) thick tubular stiles and rails. ![]() Difficult credit card applications are part of your overall credit rating for the Indigo Card Login and can have a temporary negative impact on it. Alice gets Burtonized.Ītwood has designed costumes for nearly every film Tim Burton has made in the last twenty years. In each iteration, Alice’s dress gains a detail-black trim, contrasting colors, a stripe-that recalls a certain auteur’s visual language. Next, when she suddenly grows out of this garment and ends up gigantic and naked at the royal court, the Red Queen orders, “Clothe this enormous girl!” At this point, Alice is given an assymmetrical black, white, red gown. Then, when she shrinks again, the Mad Hatter fashions a teeny dress for her to change into inside a teapot. First, she improvises a halter and quadruple-wrapped ribbon belt to hoist up her underskirt. This leaves Alice puzzling over what to wear throughout the film. ![]() “We made a decision that as Alice shrunk and grew, her dress would not,” says Atwood. (“It’s an iconic thing, not a bad thing,” says Atwood.) But when Alice goes down the rabbit hole and lands in a transformative new world, her clothes do too. Alice begins the film in 19th century blue party dress, which cleverly references the animated puff-sleeve creation she’s been stuck in since 1951. Costume designer Colleen Atwood, who’s won two Oscars (Chicago, Memoirs of a Geisha) and received her ninth Oscar nomination for Alice, says this line “set up Alice’s character as slightly more modern, more of a human being.” Her costumes follow suit. For more detailed information on establishment and management techniques for your NWSG plugs, give us a call or email. NWSG’s can be slow to establish from seed, but with a generous root system already in place and some competition control, our plugs can grow to large sizes and produce ample seed in its first year. NWSG’s can also be established by planting seeds, but using our large plugs can save time and money for applications such as logging decks, screening cover, native landscaping, hiding your favorite ground blind, combating erosion problems near streams, ditches or levees, or simply because you want to raise them yourself and scatter seed collected from these starter plugs. Our native warm season grass (NWSG) plugs are grown using the same rapid mast system we use on our highly productive and easy to establish tree seedlings. The ‘Kaw’ selection of big blue is a popular choice for states from Kansas and south, but is known to adapt the locations further north. Having said that, let’s jump into the 9 best white noise apps: The idea is so popular that there is a “Sleep” category on Apple Music, with a ton of white noise tracks for sleeping. According to research, white noise may enhance sleep quality by lowering the hearing threshold.īesides, it lessens the symptoms of ADHD in youngsters and can even somber up a crying baby. And so, you probably have a clear content calendar and deadlines you can’t overlook. TimelinesĬhances are, the explainer video you’re looking to produce is part of an umbrella marketing strategy that you’re implementing. One key component of a good process is that it involves and gives you time to appreciate and provide feedback to iterate along the way in order to get the story right. The best company is the one that documents its process so that it gives you a clear and well-articulated picture of all the activities involved in the process, the timelines for each of them, the requirements for their implementation, and potentially the people or teams involved. The interest of considering the production process before selecting a company is that it allows you to know how your video will be produced and especially what your involvement level is. It may be best to choose a different explainer video production company if an explainer video production company can’t explain its production process clearly. They demand more creative efforts, and explainer videos are no different. Videos aren’t as easy to produce as other types of content. What do they promise you for your money? Now, this is what you want to compare. You need to dig down to the why of their pricing. And so, this is not anything like choosing between $20 000 and $19 999. How do they charge for their work, and why? This is important because, in most instances, the flat price does not indicate the quality of work you’ll get. ![]() So here, the real answer you should look for is the pricing structure. This is an estimate of what the production might cost based on your needs and requirements. Instead, they’ll encourage you to get a quote through a call or over an email interaction. Most video production companies don’t tag their creatives with any specific price on their website. Pricing structureĭon’t consider just the money. So out of all your options for explainer video production companies, which one has already produced explainer videos for a company in the same industry as yours? This company will likely have a better perspective and approach to creating your video. Because they already have experience in the field, it will be easier for them to understand your needs and produce an explainer video that your audience can easily relate to. It is also a good idea to work with a company that has already produced videos for other companies in the business market. Then you have to choose the company that produces explainer videos that are precisely or else the closest to what you are looking for. ![]() Here again, you should compare the video samples from different studios. You will be able to tell if the company can deliver exactly the type of videos you have in mind. The company claims unparalleled quality explainer videos that will blow your mind, but what about their past work? The portfolio offers you a video library to appreciate the quality of their work. The portfolio is one of the most important considerations you should make before choosing. This can also help you avoid run-ons or explanatory videos that lack the key elements necessary for good results. Consider comparing their years of service in creating explainer videos. ExperienceĮxperience can indicate the quality of video you should expect in the sense that the more years a company spends producing videos, the better they master the art. Here are the top elements you need to consider to evaluate your options properly. Explainer videos are the best way to showcase a product or service to your target audience. ![]() Following changes to running shortcuts from the Home screen in iOS 13, I realized how much I was going to benefit from the ability to execute commands with the tap of an icon, so I decided to mix and match apps and shortcuts on my Home screens to maximize efficiency. The second theme, unsurprisingly, is my adoption of a hybrid Home screen that combines apps and shortcuts powered by our custom MacStories Shortcuts Icons. I’ve written about the idea of comfort in the Apple ecosystem before, and I’ve seen that concept work its way into my app preferences more and more over the course of 2019. First, thanks to various improvements in iOS and iPadOS 13, I increased my reliance on “first-party” Apple apps: I embraced the new Reminders app and its exclusive features, stopped using third-party note-taking apps and moved everything to Notes, and switched back to Apple Mail as my default email client. Two themes emerged over the second half of 2019, though. Having settled on a specific writing workflow revolving around iA Writer and Working Copy, and having figured out a solution to record podcasts from my iPad Pro, I spent the year fine-tuning my usage of those apps, refining my file management habits thanks to iPadOS’ improved Files app, and cutting down on the number of apps I kept tucked away in folders on my iPhone and iPad. In terms of app usage, 2019 was a year of stabilization for me. As a result, it took me a bit longer to finalize the 2019 collection of my must-have apps in the process, however, I’ve come up with a slightly updated format that I believe will scale better over the next few years. As you can tell by the date on this article, the 2019 edition of this story is different: not only did I spend the last months of the year testing a variety of new apps and betas, but I also kept tweaking my Home screen to accomodate MusicBot and new Home screen shortcuts. Here’s the themes I mainly use in light mode and in dark mode.Every year in late October, I start putting together a rough list of candidates for my annual ‘Must-Have Apps’ story, which I’ve historically published in late December, right before the holiday break. I’ve wasted a lot of time creating/tweaking my favorite themes. Ulysses does much more, but also allows for lots of dawdling and twiddling. IA Writer is a text/Markdown app whose appeal is that it’s no-nonsense and fast. With Ulysses I have separate folders for individual projects, and you can add in-line notes that don’t get printed, along with image attachments in a sidebar view. In Ulysses I break up text blocs, reassemble them, and compile them into single document pdfs. Ulysses lets you tweak themes, download themes created by others, or make your own themes from scratch. Ulysses lets you choose any font you want, any size, any color, and background color, special formatting (eg bold/italic/color choices) for Markdown code, and more. As I said, the developers are quite strict about how the app should be used - that can be a very good thing when you want to sit down and write, but a bad thing if you prefer another font or font-size, or color for text or background color. (This year they included their version of the open-source IBM Plex font, which they made into a duospace-font anyone can download.) There are minimum and maximum font sizes you can use with the app. The devs are quite strict about enforcing just two themes - light mode and dark mode, and until this year you could only use the embedded (excellent) Nitti Light commercial font. IA Writer is much more narrowly focused than Ulysses. I still love BBEdit - it’s a fast and bombproof text editor - but I got used to the niceties of WYSIWYG when using Markdown (with customized colors/backgrounds) in Ulysses. In olden days (before 2015) I wrote almost entirely in BBEdit, in conjunction with the outliner Opal (which has its roots and the same developer as the old Mac app called Acta ). I use it in conjunction with OmniOutliner Elements (though I’m thinking of auditioning replacements, including the Outlinely app, or an outliner service like Dynalist or Checkvist.)įor quick-and-dirty writing I really enjoy using IA Writer in both Mac/iOS, an app which I’d probably still be using if Ulysses didn’t exist. Scrivener is just a little too kitchen-sink for me in both user interface (even the new version, which I own) and capabilities, and I was never able to use it as comfortably as other apps. I have Scrivener but I really stopped using it for the most part after subscribing to Ulysses just over a year ago. ![]() This is the latest version of the popular 3D software that has been used by professionals and hobbyists alike for creating amazing 3D art and visual effects.
